  • If there is a light drizzle, the parade will proceed. However, in the event of gale force winds, torrential rain, or a North Pole-like blizzard, the parade will be cancelled. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the parade logistics, there will be no rescheduled date.

    Please note parade entrants will be advised via email if the parade is cancelled.

  • The DCC has a variety of mobility parks around the parade route. For more information about these or to see a map, please visit this link.

  • If your club, sports team, or other organisation would like to participate in the parade, you can register your interest here. Alternatively, if you would like to be a marshal or other volunteer, please fill in this form.

  • From sports clubs on foot to themed floats, we accept a variety of parade entries, provided they are Christmas-themed and exclude Santa - as there's only room for one man in the big red suit in the parade! For more details please visit this page, or email our team of elves.

  • YES! We are proud to be the biggest free event in the city.

  • At the Regent Street end of the parade route you will find toilets at George Street School and Portaloos. On George Street and the surrounds there are public toilets in the malls, the corner of Frederick and George St and the Moray Place parking building.
